JOMVU MP ISSUES A STRICT WARNING TO PWANI OIL COMPANY!!!!
Jomvu Mp Badi twalib has issued a strict warning to Pwani Oil Company In Jomvu Constituency after he received complains from their employees of been suppressed to unfair labour multi practices.
"If they can't help our people then they have to close the Factory, Pwani Oil should look upon their workers welfare and comply with social responsibility"Stated Jomvu Mp.
Speaking to reporter in his offices he stated that according to section
41 of the constitution all workers have a right to fair labour practices I.e Fair pay of wages and remunerations and reasonable working conditions
He assured that will visit the factory with Parliamentary committee of labour and social services to investigate,give them conditions and solve the bone of contention between the workers and the management.
He also stated that some of the industries are unethical and do not contribute to the economic development of improving the quality of life of the local communities surrounding them.
"I will embark on a program to revisit this industries so that they comply with corporate social responsibility since the communities around them have not benefited from the factories " added Hon Bady Twalib
In 2016 ,Hon Badi Twalib Bady served a petitioning in the house of parliament on the dismissal of the HANTEX EPZ employees which made the speaker to direct parliamentary committee of labour to investigate the matter and report back to the house after 60 days.
Through his effort 15,000 Hantex EPZ employees retained their jobs.
